A Practical Theology of Created Space: Contextualized Theology for Pastoral Crisis Ministry

This session focuses on the integration and application of practical theology with pastoral care in multiple settings. The Created Space model aims to offer an approach to a range of practitioners that is grounded in the resources of faith and develops a deeper understanding and awareness of critical incidents. 

Special Guest: Gabe Fisher

Dr. Gabriel Fisher is the director of spiritual care for Lifeline Chaplaincy – Dallas. He and his wife Jessica have three children and a handful of animals. He has a background in church ministry, bi-vocational work, teaching ministries, and hospice care. Gabe earned his undergraduate degree from Lubbock Christian University, as well as an M.Div. and D.Min. from Abilene Christian University. He is currently working through clinical pastoral education with the goal of chaplaincy board certification. Gabriel’s ministry interests include pastoral care, spiritual care at the end of life, hospital trauma, grief support, faith and vocation, practical and biblical theology, and ministry with those who have cognitive deficits.
