Special Guest: John Knox

John Knox has served as the preaching minister for the Granbury Church of Christ in Granbury, Texas, for 19 years. He holds a doctorate and M.S. degree in the field of ministry and biblical studies, an M.S. in clinical mental health counseling, and a B.A. in speech communication. John has worked in volunteer law enforcement chaplaincy for 34 years, including service as chaplain and Region 6 chaplain coordinator for the Texas Department of Public Safety. He has served as chaplain for several police departments in Texas and Oklahoma, including his current work with the Granbury Police Department. He is a long-time member and instructor for the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC), has received advanced training in Critical Incident Stress Management, and serves as a crisis and hostage negotiator for a regional SWAT team. He has been certified as an instructor with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and teaches regularly in the field of crisis intervention. John and his wife, Jan, have three sons and one grandson.
