Job Title: Children’s Ministry Coordinator
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: Based on education, experience, and leadership.

Description:
Responsibilities/Duties:
To create/organize curriculums for all classrooms from birth – 6th grade that is creative, exciting, innovative, and relevant to the children.
To create/organize curriculum for Children’s Worship that is creative, exciting, innovative, and relevant to the children.
Plan/coordinate children’s events throughout the year. Ex: VBS, Easter Egg Hunts, ChriTweens, and other activities.
Create/organize occasional service projects
Recruit/lead volunteer teams to minister through excellent planning, communication, and training.
Fill absentee volunteer positions through recruitment.
Administer/conduct background checks on all volunteers.
Create a safe, positive, nurturing and age-appropriate learning environment for every child.
Periodically conduct safety and cleanliness inspections of all spaces and equipment. • Serve as a resource and liaison for parents
Develop an annual budget and manage funds for curriculum, children’s events, supplies, etc.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities assigned by the elders as appropriate.
Administrative Duties:
Check and promptly respond to emails, texts, and voicemails.
Ensure thorough and efficient communications with parents regarding updates and curriculum details, via newsletters, emails, and social media. Also, Children’s Ministry Coordinator is responsible for documenting events via pictures and wording on website as well as church slides for worship when necessary.
Maintain current records and databases for volunteer contact information and background checks.
Purchase and prepare supplies for ministry events.
Create and maintain a file for events with event information, a detailed timeline, notes suggesting enhancements and things that went well so the event can be easily planned again, changed, or duplicated for the next year.
Work Relationships:
Performs under the supervision of the elders.
Accountable to and evaluated by the elders.
Maintain good working relationships with the UCC staff, volunteers, and custodial vendors.
Attends staff meetings
Attends requested meetings with elders.
